200 Series
Intelligent Low Profile
Plug-in Detectors

smoke detectors, 200 series Low Profile Detectors

The 200 Series intelligent plug-in smoke detectors with integral communication provide features that surpass conventional detectors. Detector sensitivity can be
programmed in the control panel software.

Sensitivity is continuously monitored and reported to the panel. Point ID capability allows each detector's address to be set with rotary address switches. This provides
exact detector locations for selective maintenance when chamber contamination reaches an unacceptable level.

Model 2251B photoelectric detector's unique optical sensing chamber is engineered to sense smoke produced by a wide range of combustion sources. Dual electronic
thermistors add 135°F fixed temperature thermal sensing on the 2251TB.

Model 2251TMB is a photoelectric smoke detector with supplementary 135°F thermal. This Detector uses advanced on-board software to combine the signals from the photo and thermal elements. This software creates a true multicriteria detector capable of rejecting nuisance sources, but still responding quickly to real fires. This detector has the capability of adjusting its sensitivity according to the type of environment that it is installed in.

Model 1251B ionization detector incorporates a unique single source, dual chamber design to respond quickly and dependably to a broad range of fires.

Models 5251B and 5251RB use an innovative thermistor sensing circuit to produce 135°F fixed and rate-of-rise thermal detection in a low profile package.

Model 5251H provides fixed high temperature detection at 190ºF. These thermal detectors provide cost effective, intelligent property detection in a variety of applications.

SL-2000 Series
Duct Smoke Detectors

The SL-2000 Series Smoke Duct Detector is the latest innovation for early detection of smoke and products of combustion present in air moving through HVAC ducts in Commercial, Industrial, and Residential applications. The unit is designed to prevent
the recirculation or spread of smoke by air handling systems, fans, and blowers. Complete systems may be shut down in the event of smoke detection. The SL-2000
is designed and built to meet all local code requirements, as well as the NFPA and ICC standards regarding HVAC supply and return duct smoke detectors. Output terminals are provided for a wide range of remote accessories such as horns, strobes, remote status indicators, and test/reset key switches or push buttons.

DH200 Series
Intelligent Low-Flow
Duct Smoke Detectors

The DH200 Low-Flow Series photoelectric air duct smoke detectors are capable of sensing smoke in air velocities from 100 to 4,000 feet per minute (0.5 to 20.32 m/sec). This features low-flow technology that enables duct smoke detection throughout a broad range of airflow environments. Many difficult to solve HVAC applications occur in low airflow duct applications where reliable smoke detection is critical. Low-flow technology can detect smoke at air speed velocities of 100 feet per minute or greater, while continuing the same reliable performance to 4,000 feet per minute. The DH200 Series Detector samples air currents passing through a duct and gives dependable performance for shutdown of fans, blowers, and air conditioning systems, preventing the spread of toxic smoke and fire gases through the protected area.

5600 Series
Mechanical
Heat Detectors

The 5600 series offers a full-line of configurations to accommodate a broad range of applications. Both single- and dual-circuit models are available for low- and high- temperature ratings with either fixed temperature or combination fixed temperature/rate-of-rise (ROR) activation. The ROR element of the fixed/ROR models is restorable to accommodate fieldtesting. To satisfy a variety of installation needs, the 5600 series easily mounts to single-gang and octagonal back boxes. And these models accommodate four-square back boxes, when used with a square to round plaster ring. The reversible mounting bracket permits both flush- and  surface-mount back box installations. The 5600 series provides clear markings on the exterior of the unit to ensure that the proper detector is being used. Alphanumeric characters identify the activation method, as well as the temperature rating, in Fahrenheit and Celsius degrees. Fixed temperature models are identified FX, while combination fixed/rate-of-rise units are marked FX/ROR. The 5600 series also provides a post-activation indicator in the form of a collector. When the detector is activated, the collector drops from the unit, making it easy to identify the unit in alarm.

302 Series
Heat Detectors

The 302 Series Heat Detectors is a normally open heat detector designed especially for fire detection and alarm systems. These rate compensation type heat detectors are available in either 135°F or 194°F ratings. All four basic models are self-restoring, hermetically sealed, shock resistant, corrosion resistant, and tamperproof. Installers should refer to NFPA Standard 72 (standard for automatic fire detectors) for application requirements, testing and maintenance.

DMD-1000
Roof Monitoring and
Alarm System

The DMD-1000 is a Factory Mutual-approved life safety device that guards against catastrophic roof failure. Designed as an early warning system, the DMD-1000
along with the FX2000 fire alarm panel continuously monitors loads on flat or low-sloped roofs. If the load exceeds a predetermined limit, typically 70 to 75 percent of the roof trusses' capacity, KFCI DMD-1000 sets off an alarm so that a corrective action can be taken before a crisis develops. The DMD-1000 can be connected to the KFCI FX2003 panel which will transmit the alarm to a emergency monitoring station In addition, the DMD-1000 reduces facility maintenance costs. It also helps building managers reduce or avoid costs associated with snow, water, and ice removal and common expenditures for flat-roofed buildings. Under severe winter conditions, the DMD-1000 often pays for itself in one season. Then, it continues to serve as a cost-avoidance, cost-reduction tool for the life of the building.
