The rechargeable batteries are of sealed lead calcium maintenance-free construction with a fully gelled electrolyte in a polypropylene case. These batteries will not leak or spill even if left upside down for extended periods of time.

The construction of the Battery Pack is pressure sealed, allowing it to be charged and discharged in any position. Cylindrical spiral-wound plate design results in low internal impedance and the highest energy and power density of any lead-acid battery.
The sealed lead-acid cell offers superior performance with up to ten year life expectancy and true maintenance free characteristics. The Battery Pack permits faster charge and discharge rates and greater shelf life as compared to other types of batteries. In standby situations, Battery Packs exhibit low self-discharge rates, approximately 4 times less than sealed ni-cads, which render them ideal for long periods of standby usage. Other features of the Battery Packs are: Stable voltage over a wide temperature range. Long life in float/constant current charge applications because of high purity grids No “memory effect” so important for long standby application.
Every Battery Pack is thoroughly tested to guarantee its full potential for maximum service. Each Battery Pack is then given a simulated load of approximately ten times the expected field condition. In addition, all Battery Packs are charged to full capacity prior to shipping.

The BC/1R/211 Battery Cabinet is designed for the professional installation of systems requiring battery storage and meets the requirement of NFPA 72 (1-5.2.9) standby battery storage for battery backup.
The BC/1R/211 allows for easy access and maintenance of the batteries while also assisting against interference or degeneration of the battery. The unit can be mounted securely to a wall, preventing mechanical injury or damage to other equipment.

The 10-circuit battery charger Model KFCB-10M is specifically designed for recharging King-Fisher rechargeable 12 volt lead acid batteries with polarized connectors.
The Battery Charger operates on 115V AC source, has solid state circuitry construction, slow-fast rate charging, and a top loading battery charging rack. The Battery Charger charges and monitors up to TEN battery packs simultaneously. It has a builtin meter for instant readings of the amperes and voltages of each battery on charge. In addition, each charging circuit has a built-in charge mode indicator. The Battery Charger recharges discharged sealed lead acid batteries to their “equalized” 100% state of charge condition. The Battery Charger is equipped with a standard grounded line cord. This cord is covered with heavy duty material providing many years of service without any special attention.
There are two (2) versions of the KFCB-10M battery charger. Both versions are a two-level constant current charger. Version 99024-0 provides 125 mA. of charge current in the high rate mode and 5 mA. in low rate mode. Version 99026-0 provides 250 mA. in high rate mode and 10 mA. in low rate mode. Version 99024-0 is used to re-charge 2.5 Ahr. Batteries (P/N 17007) and Version 99026-0 is used to recharge 5Ahr. batteries ((P/N 17014). They will recharge and equalize a discharged battery in 48 hours or less. Higher amp-hour batteries can also be recharged but the re-charge time will increase based on the amp-hour rating and the state of discharge.

KFCIT is effective against a variety of corrosive agents, including salt, airborne contaminants, H2S, SO2, NH3 and others. KFCIT protects up to 1 ft³ (28.3 liter) by volume per linear inch (2.5 cm).
